Motorcycle riders tend to be passionate about their chosen form of transport, and the appeal might be easy to understand. Motorcycles may provide a sense of freedom and movement that most people in West Virginia simply do not feel when sitting behind the wheel of a larger motor vehicle. Unfortunately, it is drivers of those vehicles that are more likely to cause motorcycle accident injuries.
West Virginia police recently arrested a man who they say was under the influence of alcohol when he caused a deadly wreck. The motorcycle accident left one man dead and at least one other -- the driver police say was responsible -- injured. It is unclear if the third individual involved in the wreck suffered any physical injuries.
Riding a motorcycle is as much about the experience of the ride as it is about getting to a destination. Unfortunately, negligent drivers continue to jeopardize not only that experience, but also motorcyclists' lives. However, families of West Virginia victims killed in a motorcycle accident may be able to hold those drivers accountable.
